He joined the faculty as a Clinical Professor at the University of Texas at Austin in 2007. He was given The Regents Outstanding Teaching Award by the statewide university system before retiring in 2018. He appeared on Today, Nightline, NPR, BBC, CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, C-SPAN, and PBS.
