Fatts’s mother took full responsibility for him and his sibling. soon they moved to San Fernando Valley. They stayed in San Fernando Valley for a short period of time. after a few months, Joey decided to move to his own house in Los Angeles where he played football at the age of 15. he survived in streets through ups and downs, same times he had nowhere to shelter during the night, the same time he could shelter in his best friend house.
While still finding a breakthrough in his dream while playing in college, his dearest friend passes away from unknown shooting in the streets, his best friend death affected him dreadfully, after a few years, his crew members died from shooting while growing up. the death of his friends made him back down on his dream and soon Joey began steeling in the streets with his new friends. he stopped playing football in college and was arrested for robbery at the twelfth grade.

Journey to the music& career
He had a cousin Vince Staples, Staples inspired Fatts on his lost dream and Joey began rapping in the hoods but couldn’t get any record producers to make his sound good for the listeners so he decided to look for an idea to support his music.in the streets, he stole someone’s iMac and after recording some songs, he gave up on music again on December 2011
Fatts decided to sell the iMac by tweeting, “Yo, who want an iMac?”, Staples retweeted it, then Matthews responded Fatts and A$ton met up in Burger King and he sold the laptop. his friend had a dream in music their all had one thing in common rapping, instantly connect their ideas. in January 2012, They started to get really close and soon Fatts moved into Matthew’s garage. after the same couple of months, the founder of ASAP Mob, ASAP Yams hard Fatts’s beats but Fatts didn’t hear anything until the day he received a call from ASAP Rocky, and soon Joey began walking on the road of fame.
The big dream achieved
His song ”Jodye” was involved in Rocky’s debut album, Long. Live ASAP. he was shortly signed by The Southern rapper Waka Flocka Flame. he was signed to his 36 Brick House management company and was the only artist on the imprint. Fatts released his first mixtape, Chipper Jones on August 15, 2012. through this track, he began gaining popularity and followers on twitter. he got so close to the ASAP crew and got a chance to tour with ASAP Rocky.
On the tour, he released the second part to Chipper Jones on May 29, 2013, Joey attracted many fans and adding fame to the music industry. In September 2013, Joey Fatts went on the “Turnt x Burnt” tour with ASAP Ferg, Aston Matthews, Overdoz and 100s.

He launches the third volume of his Chipper Jones series on August 3, 2014, the name of the song ” Keep it G Pt. II” collaborated with ASAP Rocky. the track reached number 3 & 15 on the Billboard. after a year,Fatts released the self-produced Ill Street Blues mixtape on February 17, 2015. In 2014 Joey got signed by the rapper Currensy, January 2016,Fatts performed at the Yams Day concert in New York City. In August 2016, Fatts signed inn the Los Angeles rapper D Savage to his label Cutthroat Records. In 2017, Joey Fatts and D Savage headlined their national “At Your Neck Tour” with opener Eddy Baker.
On 2016 March, Fatts released his hit song mixtape I’ll Call You Tomorrow, which featured Lil Yachty, Vince Staples, Playboi Carti, and Ryan Bogan.
